Overview Development Lead - Housing at Bath & North East Somerset Council. This is a Fixed-Term Vacancy with a provisional end date of 01/10/2028. Extension is subject to additional external funding. The council’s purpose is to improve people’s lives and deliver significant investment in housing, infrastructure and estate regeneration. The council plans to scale up housing delivery with a pipeline of over 3000 homes on land the Council controls. We are recruiting to strengthen the Housing Team with Development Leaders to support this delivery. The Role The primary purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of major housing projects (300+ homes per site). In accordance with the council’s project systems, you will assemble, promote and progress complex housing projects from inception to completion and handover. You will be accountable for financial, planning, technical, legal and procurement aspects of delivery, including competitive tendering and frameworks. This role supports the council’s ambition to deliver affordable homes and contribute to regional growth.
