Merchandiser

You will make an impact by working closely with the Merchandise Manager and wider Merchandising team to strategically drive both the department and the business through effective stock and sales planning. This is a highly collaborative role, working with various departments across the business such as; Buying, Design, Logistics and Ecommerce to deliver successful commercial outcomes across B2B & B2C in our global markets.

You will be based at our Head Office in Banbury with the freedom to work from home two days a week on average.

**HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE**
- Managing intake of stock in line with sales targets whilst delivering planned sales through effective stock planning
- Working with the Assistant Merchandiser to analyse performance and maximise commercial opportunities daily, weekly and seasonally
- Working alongside the Merchandise Manager to review both stock and sales opportunities whilst highlighting and managing risk, acting on these quickly with supportive suggestions
- Working with Merchandise Manager and Buying team to plan out seasonal and in season OTB
- Leading and presenting in Forecast meetings, working with Merchandise Manager to ensure all KPI’s are being met
- Providing appropriate data analysis and business insights that can be shared with relevant teams to aid decision making
- Keeping wider departments updated on stock and sales updates through concise and accurate reporting
- Working closely with our Operations team to ensure stock moves through the business and minimise any bottlenecks
- Working with Merchandising Assistants to plan out allocation strategies and ensure stock is being maximised within the business and across retail platforms
- Alongside the Merchandise Manager, managing and developing a team through Assistant Merchandisers and Merchandising Assistants through regular 1:1’s using coaching and honest, constructive feedback. Highlighting development and training needs
- Embracing the benefits of change and manages within the team
- Seeking opportunities to improve ways of working and system improvements to plan and trade more effectively
- Collaborating with Marketing and Ecommerce teams to notify them of schedules for product which will be used in key campaigns across the business

**THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING**
- A proven track record in Merchandising within a fast paced and rapidly changing global retailer
- Demonstrates the ability to drive success of a department through commercial and creative thinking
- Can confidently present department KPI’s to the team, wider teams, and senior management
- Has excellent system skills, including advanced Excel and have used relevant trading retail systems (experience using Oracle and/or Netsuite systems is desirable)
- Has an effective and inclusive management style providing the team with clear direction and development
- Shows strong awareness of current trends and market conditions to aid business decisions
- Ability to build great relationships with internal stakeholders to aid a collaborative working relationship
- Experience of working with FE supplier base and is fully immersed in stock management from COO through to the end customer
- Experience within an Ecommerce business or relatable industry is preferred
