Assistant Merchandiser

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Introducing an exciting opportunity to join our Merchandising team and bring your analytical and people skills to the table.

You will make an impact in this fast paced, ever-growing business by assisting the Merchandiser and the wider senior team to drive profit for the business whilst thinking commercially and innovatively across our global markets.

You will take responsibility for the forecasting and analysing of product sales. You will have the exciting opportunity to work alongside the Buying and Wholesale teams to make decisions and suggestions on future ranges.

The Merchandising team ensures that we have the right products, at the right time and in the right quantities. Your integral work will ensure we have the right products in stock at the right time and in the right quantities through forecasting and analysis to maximise profit. You will collaborate with departments across the business from Creative to Operations, to help plan and build product ranges and take control of stock levels.

You will be based at our Head Office in Banbury with the freedom to work from home two days a week on average, this may flex up or down dependant on business needs.

**HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE**
- Planning and forecast sales and stock level’s accordingly to achieve sales plans for the season
- Monitoring the department performance and identify opportunities, highlighting any potential risk
- Working with Merchandiser to make suggestions for promotions and markdown’s
- Working closely with Design, Marketing, Ecommerce and Purchasing counterparts to successfully range plan for your department
- Taking responsibility for the smooth-running day to day of your Merchandising department, contributing through detailed analysis i.e.: best sellers, slow sellers, managing stock shortages
- Preparing and planning for weekly, monthly and seasonal trade meetings
- Overseeing a range of categories stock levels and general performance by retail channel
- Contributing to the growth of the department by making suggestions to processes and any improvements to IT systems
- Continuously adapting and reviewing processes to align to business needs
- Coaching and mentoring junior members of the Merchandising department

**THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING**
- Previous experience in similar role such as Forecast Analyst / Assistant Merchandiser / experienced Merchandising Assistant
- Previous exposure performing in a fast-paced working environment
- Excellent system skills and Microsoft excel are essential, working knowledge of Oracle based retail systems are desirable
- A motivated and enthusiastic attitude, with willing to contribute ideas
- Experience of planning weekly/monthly/seasonal sales and stock
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Passion and interest for both wholesale and online retailing

- A salary of £25,000 - £27,000 DOE
- 25 days holiday rising to 27 with length of service, plus bank holiday
