**Role of Financial Controller**
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Managing the month-end and balance sheet process. Ensuring the process is robust and efficient, and that balance sheet accounts are understood and balances are reconciled.
- Monthly consolidation of businesses.
- Treasury management and cashflow forecasting.
- Undertaking bank reconciliations.
- Processing of invoices and management of supplier payments.
- Maintenance of the company's fixed asset register.
- Responsibility for stock reporting and review of provisions.
- Customer account profitability reporting and calculation of sales rebates and provisions and reporting to senior management.
- Preparation of VAT returns and Intrastat submissions.
- Supporting in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with Auditors.
- Assisting with the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Reviewing internal controls within the business and implementing changes where necessary.
- Proactively building relationships with managers, providing professional advice/judgment to ensure issues are highlighted and addressed.
- Carrying out ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the SLT
- The Financial Controller will have strong technical accountancy skills including management and statutory accounts and consolidations.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA).
- Experience of working as a Financial Controller.
- Good knowledge of all government taxes (VAT, PAYE & NIC, CT)
