Data Cabling Engineer

Halesowen, United Kingdom GTS Communications Full time

Engineer must be trained and have good experience in the following;
- Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a Data Cabling installation, testing and termination.
- Fibre Optic Cable (Single mode and multi-mode) installation and testing.
- Fibre splicing testing and termination.
- CCTV Data cabling and shotgun Cabling testing and termination.
- Installing CCTV cameras and DVR.
- Telephone Installer using 1308 Cable testing and termination.

Certifications
- Valid ECS/CSCS Card
- Asbestos Awareness
- IPAF 3a/3b

Skills and Attributes
- Ability to meet targets without compromising quality or safety standards
- Will be organised and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Accuracy and attention to detail at all times
- Excellent communications skills used to build a rapport with people at all levels
- Will present a positive company image.
- Will provide a timely, polite and efficient service.
- Able to work with schedules and Site Drawings
- Qualified to use various test equipment
- Basic I.T. and networking skills
- Will possess a complete set of own basic hand tools, drills and terminating tools
- Hours of work Monday to Friday - 8 hour day on site
- Weekend work is expected when required
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Day rate or salary can be discussed.
