We are currently recruiting for a healthcare assistant for a nursing home services based in Whitehaven. The home offers nusring and respite care. The home is a 50 bedded service for elderly residents.

Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as comfortably and independent a life as possible by assisting with their every day lives when needed.

**Shift times**:
08:00 - 20:00

20:00 - 08:00

**Information**:

- Location: CA28
- Hourly Rate: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour
- Contract: Full time/Part time
- Start Date: On completion of recruitment process

**Your duties as a Healthcare Assistant**:

- Eating out
- Visit to local parks
- Manual Handling
- Encourage new skill development
- Activities (bowling, cinema, swimming)
- Empowering residents to be as independent as possible
- Listening to music
- Attending appointments
- Personal care support
- Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (this may include - but not be limited to - finances, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc)

- A minimum of 6 months UK care experience
- Able to work in the UK and can show documents
- Full enhanced DBS
- Up to date CV
- Travelling distance to post code area
- Flexible to be on rota
