Here at XPO, we’re looking for a Regional HR Advisor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, supporting our Transport division in the South East. In a regional role, you will partner with nominated sites as directed by HRBP on a range of people related matters, including first line advice, redundancy and TUPE, relevant consultation processes and employee relations. You will also be providing HR advice and guidance to drive the people agenda. You will also support the sites with direction around employee engagement and driving our strategies around talent, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion.

We’re looking to offer an annual salary of up to £40,000, plus a car or car allowance. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
**What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- Support, coach and advise key stakeholders on all HR issues including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement.
- Deal with Trade Union representatives where appropriate (consultations, termination meetings etc)
- Contribute effective recruitment, selection and induction processes, involving the recruitment team where appropriate
- Assist the HR activity required to ensure that TUPE and Redundancy consultations are executed in line with statutory and company requirements
- Support the dismissal/high level grievance appeal process by ensuring that a full review of process and documentation has been undertaken prior to final outcome being sent
- Support the development of operational management competence levels of middle level managers in HR related issues across own area
- Conduct regular and effective site HR reviews and audits across own area to ensure compliance and understanding
- Ensure company standards, policies and procedures are effective and are implemented on a consistent basis across the business and that correct templates and documentation are used.
- Provide input into HR projects and changes in HR policy and practice
- Support with the upskilling and development of managers in HR processes and procedures
- Support your sites with driving engagement and active participation in the Our Difference calendar activities
- Actively drive and support with Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, Talent Development and Wellbeing across your sites
- Provide consistent and professional HR Services in line with Company objectives
- To complete ad hoc duties that supports both the function and the business
**What you need to succeed at XPO**:
- Previous experience in a similar role with exposure to a large workforce, preferably in an operational environment (logistics, manufacturing, production etc.)
- CIPD qualification with experience of TUPE and trade union negotiation
- An excellent understanding of HR processes, procedures and employment law
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels.
