Mot Test Station Controller

We have a job vacancy for a varied role based within our MOT ATF (Authorised Testing Facility here on site at Leeds Fleet Services. Your main duty will be to manage, assist and co-ordinate the customers arriving to present vehicles & trailers for MOT test, working alongside our mechanics, office staff and the attending DVSA examiners. Ideally, the position would suit someone with previous experience of working in a garage environment or with HGV driving experience, however this is not essential. A Forklift truck licence would be advantageous but again, not essential as training can be provided. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this role, along with a friendly "can do" attitude. The job will involve: - Carrying out Voluntary Brake, Headlight & Smoke emissions tests - Presenting vehicles and trailers for MOT test when required. - Load/unload vehicles & trailers with IBC weights using forklift truck. - General housekeeping, by keeping the workplace clean & tidy preventing unnecessary exposures to hazards and injury-causing incidents; to include daily sweeping, mopping & cleaning of test lane & centre areas. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: £23,400.00-£28,080.00 per year **Benefits**: - On-site parking Schedule: - Monday to Friday - No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: - Batley: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person Reference ID: MOT ATF CONTROLLER
