**Role Summary**

Working within our in house Building Technical Team, dealing with all aspects of building insurance claims, from assessing the overall validity of the claim, to creating a schedule of works to put the property back to its original condition then liaising with customers/contractors to settle the claims.

**Key Objectives**
- Updating and creating building repair scopes using various pieces of pricing software
- Assessing contractor estimates
- Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders
- Managing panel contractors, controlling repair schedules and costs
- Settling claims under delegated authority

**Skills**
- **Previous /buildings insurance claims experience** or **extensive trade experience (5+ years)** or **be a graduate building surveyor**
- Great communication and organisational skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
- Computer literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced target driven environment
- Positive attitude and be a flexible, self-motivated team player
- Attention to detail and ability to assess and resolve problems and find solutions
- Proven buildings insurance claims experience OR extensive trade experience OR be a Graduate Building Surveyor
- Great verbal and written communication and organisation skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
- Positive attitude and be a flexible, self-motivated team player
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess and resolve problems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
