Career Zone Advisor

Career Zone is our newly created service to support our students and alumni within the University of East London. Its primary role is to provide effective advice and a support network that enables our students and staff to grow and develop at our University. We also collaborate with external partners to ensure opportunities are up to industry standards.
We are looking to a passionate Career Zone Advisor to join our ambitious team. You will be based within the operations team providing a professional, customer-focused service to develop and scale up careers and student enterprise initiatives.
The Career Zone Advisor will provide a front-line service for the career zones and deal with a full range of queries from both enrolled and newly graduated students in an effective and prompt manner. The postholder will also respond to enquiries from external stakeholder organisations using the highest level of customer service whilst exploring ways to improve quality of service.
In addition, the postholder will demonstrate effective communication service, strong organisational skills, Microsoft Word and Excel competency to assist with day-to-day administrative tasks from the wider teams and ability to manage assignments and meet deadlines. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the services are up to date, making sure information, events/ activities, and services are available to students, staff, visitors, and other external parties.
