**Male Mental Health Support Worker (driver)**

**Role Description - Mental Health Support Worker**
Gray Healthcare are recruiting a new team of mental health support workers within the Salford area of Manchester to support a gentleman in his 40's who has a diagnosis of Organic Personality Disorder and dysarthria as a result of brain injury who be living independently in his own home receiving 2:1 support 24 hours a day. The gentleman we will be supporting has a good sense of humour, enjoys fitness and gym and is a huge Manchester United football club fan. He will be supported by a male only team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. We are recruiting **drivers only** for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.
**Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience**
- Full UK Driving License - **Essential**.
- Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
- Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
- Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
- You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. **We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.**:
**Hours**
12h contract
- 1 x12 hour shift waking night per week.
**Induction and Training**
We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
