**Permanent, Full time, 40 hours**
**£21,224 a year, rising to £21,755 after 12 months in service**
**Key Purpose**:
- To assist the Training Lead in the facilitation processes for the provision of training to all staff within the contract and other contracts where required
- To assist the Training Lead in maintaining accurate training records for all staff and support the Training Lead in providing statistical information in relation to training both required and provided.
- To assist the Training Lead in managing annual ongoing refresher training and support the Training Lead in compiling an annual training plan to be integrated into the national training plan for Custodial Training Services
- To assist the Training Lead in preparing for the delivering of core training to both Custodial and Operational Support staff as part of initial training, ongoing developmental training and refresher programmes
- To assist the Training Lead in the booking of training courses external to the business, maintaining a rolling training tracker of booked training, including the booking of hotels, cars and other transportation where required
- To assist the Training Lead in capturing all internal and external training costs including travel & subsistence and other associated costs as part of the rolling training tracker
- To assist members of staff in the claiming of additional expenses, where incurred as part of attending training courses which aren’t covered under the Serco bill back process and ensure these are added as part of costs incurred on the rolling training tracker
**Key Accountabilities**:
- To assist the Training Lead to facilitate the smooth and effective delivery of all training within the contract including Initial Training Courses (ITC’s) for Officers and Operational Support Induction Programmes for support staff and external agencies
- To oversee the administration and distribution of the PCO Portfolios
- To assist the Training Lead in maintaining and updating all training programmes and materials in line with changes both to the contractual elements of the programme and legislative updates where required
- To assist the Training Lead in co-ordinating the delivery of all on-site training, ensuring all resources and requirements are met to ensure an efficient and effective programme of delivery is achieved
- To assist the Training Lead to ensure that all equipment and resources are maintained, updated or replaced when required
- To assist the Training Lead in ensuring that accurate and auditable training records are kept and maintained in line with national requirements both locally and on the Serco Learning Management System (LMS)
- To assist the Training Lead in providing statistical information on a monthly basis or ad hoc data when requested
- To assist the Training Lead to ensure all attendees on training programmes receive all necessary information / documentation prior to attendance on booked programmes both internally and externally to the establishment
- To assist the Training Lead in ensuring all evaluation documentation is collated, analysed and recorded after all courses
- To assist the Training Lead where appropriate by requesting Purchase Orders for training providers and where appropriate making use of limit orders for multiple bookings with a provider.
- To co-ordinate the scheduling and minute taking of the local training committee meetings, issuing invites accordingly and confirming attendances, as well as finalising and distribution of the agreed minutes to all relevant parties.
**What you need to do the Job**:
- Must have strong computing skills including the use of Word processing, Excel Spreadsheets, databases and specialist data storage and reporting platforms
- Must have a relevant Business Administration qualification to level 3 or attend the level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship programme run by the Serco Apprenticeship Team
- Well organised and ability to prioritise workloads
- Good team working ethic
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must understand their roles and responsibilities with read to health and safety self
- awareness and the requirements for the training facilities and their customers
- Must have an understanding of the requirements with regard to maintaining a positive attitude in -regards to all aspects of diversity and inclusion for all parties within the training environment.
