As a result of our highly successful client’s expansion plans, an exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Marketplace Assistant to join their busy team based in their Head Office in Plymouth. The Marketplace Assistant will supportthe Senior Buying team to drive sales, maximise profit and achieve stock and sales targets.
As the Marketplace Assistant, you will also:

- Assist in sourcing, listing, managing and developing product ranges and promotional offers.
- Liaise with suppliers to manages ranges and maintain the product file.
- Monitor competitor activity
- Research, compile, and interpret data to formulate strategies.
- Develop a full understanding of online strategy statistics, the product range, new product development, range planning and commercial factors.
- Analyse seasonal trends and missing opportunities where the company can adapt and expend their existing product range.
- Be a liaison point between individual buying departments, working closely on product promotion decisions and product launches.
What do you need to be a Marketplace Assistant?
- A degree is preferred but not essential.
- You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and an interest in retail.
- Excellent commercial understanding and communication skills are a priority.
- You will be committed and confident with strong administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- You will be comfortable working both individually and with a team.
- You will have proficient written, numerical/analytical and PC skills.
- Confident with Microsoft Excel and capable of working with formulas and graphs.

Hours for the Marketplace Assistant role are full time
- Mon-Fri 8:45am - 5:30pm, with a competitive salary depending on experience.This is a temporary to permanent position.
