As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Marketplace Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

**About the Role**:

- Supporting the Senior Buying team to drive sales, maximise profit and achieve stock and sales targets.
- Assisting in sourcing, listing, managing and developing product ranges and promotional offers.
- Liaising with suppliers to manage ranges and maintain the product file.
- Monitoring competitor activity.
- Researching, compiling, and interpreting data to formulate strategies as required.
- Ensuring all relevant administrative, financial and system procedures are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Developing a full understanding of the online category statistics, the product range, new product development, range planning, and commercial factors.
- Being a liaison point between individual Buying departments and the Multichannel division, working closely on product promotion decisions and product launches, relaying back multichannel performance statistics, challenges, and pertinent commercial informationas appropriate and ensure campaigns and events are stocked with a full product range.
- Analysing seasonal trends and missing opportunities where we can adapt and expand our existing product range.
- Working wthin a diverse, cross-functional team environment (including development, multichannel, marketing, and digital trading teams), following up on discrepancies, identifying issues, and escalating on an ad hoc basis.
- Working with high attention to detail and the management of multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

**Essential & Preferred Skills & Requirements**
- A degree is preferred but not essential.
- You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and an interest in retail.
- Excellent commercial understanding and communication skills are a priority.
- You will be committed and confident with strong administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- You will be comfortable working both individually and with a team.
- You will have proficient written, numerical/analytical and PC skills.
- Confident with Microsoft Excel and capable of working with formulas and graphs.

**Position**:Permanent, Full-time

**Hours**: Monday - Friday, 08:45am - 17:30pm.

**Location**:Plymouth, Devon
