An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a full time Business Support Officer to provide administrative support to the Commercial Waste within the Environment Directorate. The role is office based at the Town Hall, Scarborough with a requirement to work from other locality areas across North Yorkshire; **therefore, the ability to travel is essential.**

We require an experienced and highly motivated administrator with excellent communication and customer care skills. You will undertake a range of duties including, but not limited to, Commercial Waste administration, assisting customers with waste related queries, data inputting using excel and bespoke systems and finance including processing invoicing and raising of purchase orders.

You will benefit from a supportive management structure, on-going personal development, and performance management. Training will be given to the appointed person.

The successful applicant must have good keyboard skills and experience in Word, Excel, Databases and Outlook. Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills are also essential. You must be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised and have the ability to work to your own initiative.
