We’re now looking for a passionate and reliable tutor to join our friendly team

**The Role**

We are currently hiring for a tutor based in **Oval** **or surrounding areas (e.g., Stockwell, Vauxhall or Kennington, etc.)**to support a student as they prepare for their **maths** **GCSE retake (with Edexcel exam board)**.
- **Pay**: £20 per hour
- **Location**: SW8 (student’s home)
- **Commitment**: 2 hours per week
- **Schedule**: Tuesday or Thursday evenings

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference through one-to-one tuition.

**Essential Requirements**

Please read carefully — applicants **must** meet the following essential criteria:

- Live within **40 minutes of SW8** (e.g., Oval, Stockwell, Vauxhall, Kennington, etc)
- Experience working with children or young people (e.g., as a tutor, teacher, teaching assistant, youth worker, mentor, etc.)
- Availability for tutoring during the family’s preferred time slots (Tuesday or Thursday evenings)
- Access to a **printer** — while we provide most materials, tutors are occasionally expected to print resources
- Educated to **degree level** _(desirable but not essential)_

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver engaging and effective 1:1 tutoring sessions in the student’s home
- Build strong rapport and trust with the student
- Adapt your teaching approach to meet individual learning needs
- Track progress and tailor future sessions accordingly
- Inspire confidence and a love of learning in your student

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week
