The Warehouse Operative facilitates the smooth flow of books through the warehouse, from Goods into Dispatch, ensuring a timely service whilst meeting all of our customers’ expectations.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments- Excellent understanding of written and spoken English, to follow written and verbal instructions.- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook- Ability to lift weights in excess of 15kg- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.

It would also be great if you had- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.- Good general I.T. skills- Current forklift driving license.

What will you be doing in this role?- Ensures that all relevant company and departmental health, safety and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.- Ensures all tasks are carried out using standard processes and meet set productivity levels.- Unpacks deliveries and receives books onto CIS system.- Sorts and shelves books by customer bin locations- Prepares picking lists and picks customer orders.- Invoices and packs customer orders to meet customer expectations.- Demonstrates customer focus by reporting any damaged or missing books, or failures in adhering to standard processes, to line manager.- Keeps work areas clean and tidy.

About the Team

This role will report directly into the Warehouse Operations Manager in our Ringwood facility working as part of a team of 6 Warehouse Operatives.

Hours of Work

This is a full time role in our Ringwood facility Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
