**Head Buyer**
- Zeus Personnel are looking for a Head Buyer to join our clients rapidly growing team in their Blackburn HQ within the E-cigarette & vaping industry._

The strategic development, performance and maintenance of the buying processes of the organisation to obtain the best possible combination of price, quality, and service.

**Salary**:
Up to £45,000 pa

**Location**:
Blackburn

**Hours of work**:
Mon - Fri
9am - 5:30pm (Full time)

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Overall responsibility for Buying activities across the business
- Create and implement best practice buying, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that buying strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Contribute to operations strategy and budgetary processes
- Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers
- Work closely with New Product Development to source new and alternative raw materials
- Provide leadership to departments under control. Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
- Set department objectives in line with business strategy and monitor ongoing progress and performance
- Risk management of the supply of third-party goods and services
