The Head of Procurement r is ultimately responsible to manage and take full ownership of a category of purchasing including managing end-to-end supplier relationships and negotiating the best possible commercial arrangement.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Build strong supplier relationships, ensuring Dinner Lady is a preferred customer for all suppliers
- Calculate orders based on maintaining inventory levels, and procure to order requirements and complete the Purchase Order Process through to on time delivery of goods
- Prepare and conduct supplier price negotiations and performance reviews to achieve optimal value for Dinner Lady
- Sourcing and on boarding of suppliers where necessary
- Maintain contingent / secondary suppliers to ensure constant availability of supply
- Provide monthly forecasts to suppliers and hold regular supplier review meetings to ensure continuity and fluidity of supply as Dinner Lady grows
- Structure and propose commercial supply proposals such as draw down agreements to deliver optimum economic value for Dinner Lady and our customers
- Record, measure, and regularly feedback key supplier metrics
- Contribute to procurement budget calculations utilising demand forecasts

**Person Specification**
- At least 3 years in a procurement / buyer role
- Strong communicator, able to build lasting relationships.
- Adaptable problem-solving skills, remaining calm under pressure.
- Accountable and responsible, ensuring the focus remains on the end goals of the Business.
- Flexible approach required to support the business in peak times, willingness to learn and adaptable to change.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a demanding workload to meet business needs.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence working independently as well as in a team, setting an example to others, showing awareness of self-representation.
- Comfortable working towards SLA’s and KPI’s to deliver best in class service.
