We’re expanding our head office team in Clevedon and looking for a **Purchase Ledger & Compliance Assistant** to support both our Finance and Compliance functions.
**The Role**
This is a key support role within the business, combining **Purchase Ledger** and **Compliance Administration** duties to ensure smooth financial operations and adherence to FCA regulations.
**Purchase Ledger Responsibilities**
Processing and reconciling supplier invoices and credit notes
Managing supplier accounts and ensuring accurate payments are made on time
Matching invoices to purchase orders and ensuring approvals are in place
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
Maintaining accurate financial records within the accounting system
Assisting with month-end close procedures, accruals, and reporting
Working closely with the accounts department to ensure effective cost control and accurate ledger management
**Compliance Responsibilities**
Assisting in maintaining full FCA compliance across the business
Managing dealer partner documentation (Terms of Business, AR/IAR agreements, etc.)
Ensuring all compliance records are accurate and up to date
Logging and tracking customer and dealer complaints in line with FCA guidelines
Supporting internal audits and compliance reviews
Helping ensure all staff follow FCA and company policies regarding Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), data protection, and financial promotions
**About You**
We’re looking for someone who’s:
Organised, accurate, and methodical in their work
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, invoices, and computer systems
Interested in developing knowledge of FCA compliance and regulation
Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
