**Job Title**: Head of Quality Assurance
**Location**: Lverpool
**Salary**: Circa £30,000 per annum depending on experience.

Paterson Associates are one of the countries leading providers of Expert Witness Reports for Housing Disrepair and Housing Condition Litigation. Started in 2019, the firm now produces over 3000 reports per year and is continuing to grow.
With Offices in Middlesbrough and Liverpool, the firm have recently recruited a chartered surveyor in the role of Head of Technical and we are looking for an individual to take on the role of Head of Quality Assurance within the team, working alongside this new team member.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Undertake reviews of Expert reports for quality purposes on reports received from Surveyor experts and provide feedback where relevant.
- Identify missing and incorrect information, comprehensive and correct items of disrepair and evidence and explanation of causation.
- Provide admin and support and assistance to the team.
- Answer internal and external queries relating to the contents of the expert report in a professional. polite and friendly manner.
- Ensure expert reports are CPR 35 compliant.
- Report findings of quality control audit to the General Manager.
- Take personal responsibility for the quality of their own work to ensure the agency’s service exceeds client expectations, highlighting any personal training requirements directly to their Line Manager.

- Will Have 5 years plus litigation experience.
- Will be CILEX Chartered Litigation Executive or equivalent.
- Will be familiar with instructing and commissioning expert reports for the purposes of litigation.
- Have experience of working within a law firm, particularly within Civil Litigation.
- Have a good and thorough understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, specifically Part 35 and the obligations of Experts is essential as is a strong understanding of the importance of identifying causation within an expert report.
