Devon Highways are currently looking to recruit two Highways Operative to work on our Highway Maintenance contract in West Devon at our Okehampton depot. As a Highways Operative you will be part of our Cyclical Team who are responsible for the Maintenance of over 300,000.00 drainage Assets.

**As the Highways Operative** **your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- To work as part of a team
- Meet programme targets
- Comply with company health, safety and environment standards
- Carry out highway drainage cleaning as per the benchmark
- Use on site electronic device

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Good communication skills
- Experience / knowledge required in using electronic devices
- Good timekeeping skills required
- CSCS
- Chapter 8 or 12D an advantage but can be supplied
- Any grounds maintenance experience would be an advantage

**Additional Information**
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
- You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
