As an experienced Registered Clinical Professional with significant knowledge and experience in analysis, requirements, engagement, and clinical informatics the post holder will be required to professionally represent the requirements and interests of Community Pharmacists working in Wales.

In conjunction with other members of the Clinical and ICT Directorates he /she will be required to lead the development and implementation of ICT solutions to ensure the delivery of new ways of working to ensure safer patient and clinical care.

The post holder will effectively develop clinical leadership with other DHCW Directorates, Welsh Government, Health Board Clinical Directors, professional bodies, contractor professions, the third sector and members of the public.

As an expert and experienced clinician, he/she will be expected to act with limited advice from the line manager.

**The post holder will**:
Establish and maintain credibility at all levels across DHCW, Health Boards, Professional Groups and Welsh Government particularly with the Directors of Pharmacy for Wales.

Diplomacy, tact and the ability to influence and motivate colleagues are key requirements for this role. Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to promote DHCW and the Directorate and engage them in the development of strategies, models, procedures, plans and products to underpin all aspects of ICT enabled change. Considerable persuasion and negotiation skills and an ability to engage with individuals and organisations across a range of sectors are needed including:

- NHS senior managers from across the UK, Welsh and UK government departments
- UK professional bodies including Royal Colleges
- Patient groups
- Health Board Clinical Directors

Take responsibility for developing, planning and implementing clinical strategies and contributing to the business planning process for DHCW.

Lead on advising the clinical directors and senior managers on the long-term strategy for the Pharmacy Profession and other key contexts. Carry out the clinical tasks identified in the relevant test strategy and plans and advise project managers of their progress.
