**ROLE SUMMARY**:
Excellent opportunity for someone to join a well-established Company and become trained in a range of commercial processes: Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, etc. with the aim of taking up a Sales Department role once the required training is complete.

**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participate in on-job training sessions and external training, as required
- Gathering market and customer data/information
- Prospecting for additional business by contacting potential customers
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications
- Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
- Liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders
- Checking quantities of goods in stock
- Recording sales and order information using Company systems
- Monitoring own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
- Scanning and printing dispatch documents
- Goods inwards administration
- Any other tasks and duties that may be required by Line Manager

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn all aspects of the role
- Ability to use own initiative
- Adaptable and articulate and a collaborative team player
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail
- Numerate, IT skills and good general level of education with pass rate of 5 GSCE’s Grades A-C or 9-5, to include Maths & English, and 2 A levels is desirable.
- **Salary: £18,000 (Starting rate)**
