Reishi Plant Kitchen is a small, independent Vegan Restaurant In Worcester, offering seasonal menus full of international cuisine with fresh, vibrant flavours and beautifully presented dishes.

The restaurant feels relaxed and inclusive, with a focus to deliver extremely friendly and personal service, going above & beyond to make all guests welcome.

We have the bonus of being above the Lamb & Flag bar, who provide their legendary drinks upstairs for us and showcase many local talents with live music Friday - Sunday most weekends

We have a small and friendly team of kind, silly, compassioante humans, who communicate clearly, positively and professionally to achieve the shared goal of creating a more concious, empathetic world.

**Summary of the FOH supervisor’s main duties and responsibilities**:
For the overall smooth running of Reishi Plant Kitchen. Working closely with the business owner and Reishi team to grow Reishi into a thriving, vibrant, compassionate and successful vegan restaurant. More specifically, ensuring on-going excellence in the welcome, look and feel of the restaurant, particularly within customer care, staff training and well organised operations. Always upholding the Reishi values of showcasing veganism in the most positive light possible, for the animals.

**Front of House and Customer Care**:

- To oversee all front of house operations and ensure the guests experience is of the highest possible quality.
- Processing all booking enquiries and tracking any further information necessary i.e: dietary requirements & ensuring the pre-order and deposits are taken for larger tables.
- To actively seek and record guest feedback on a regular basis by all staff and ensure all customer requests and feedback are responded to promptly.
- Ensure that all areas of The Restaurant are always in a highly presentable and functioning state.
- To cover all day to day policies, procedures and systems that meet both statutory requirements and ensure the continuous improvement of the effective running of the restaurant.
- Liaison with the Lamb & Flag management and bar team to ensure continual communication and a successful co-working relationship.
- To have an extensive knowledge of Reishi plant kitchen’s history, values and menu, to communicate positively with customers about our business, food and wider vision.

**Staffing**:

- To develop and implement a staff training plan and continuing development for all FOH staff, ensuring everyone is able to work independently, confidently with an understanding to communicate Reishi’s values, menu and wider vision with knowledge and enthusiasm to all customers.
- Ensuring all employees follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- To undertake FOH staff appraisals on at least an annual basis.
- To help recruit restaurant staff and ensure all staff complete accurate admin forms at start of employment, time sheets, holiday sheets and an exit interview.
- To develop and lead a motivated and high-performing FOH team with a positive morale.
- To ensure regular communications with the business owner with any areas where support or focus is needed.

**Operations**:

- Overseeing the opening and closing of the premises to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- Ensuring all equipment is properly functioning throughout the day
- Keeping accurate records of daily sales & staff hours.
- Helping the business owner with the FOH rota schedule.
- Ensuring food and drinks served are of high quality and service is consistent.
- Enforcing and health safety practices, sanitation standards and safe food handling procedures.
- Communicating and coordinating any customer allergies with the kitchen team to ensure the customer’s safety and peace of mind.

**Marketing**:

- Create and post high quality social media posts to showcase our products, team and values.
- Respond to social media comments and messages, maintaining a friendly and positive communication line with all friends of Reishi.
- Communicate and promote any upcoming & exciting menu changes or events to all customers at Reishi.
- Look for and suggest future upselling, sales and marketing opportunities for the continued growth of the business.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
