We make a wide range of enclosures which are suitable for the toughest ambient conditions and ideal for a factory of the future. As well as designing and engineering OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturer), we produce several standard enclosures such as our TS8 and EL Line.

Our Plymouth site is 26,000m2 with fabrication, painting and assembly all done on site. Today Rittal-CSM is the world leader in the design and manufacture of this type of product.

**What you’ll do**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a summer internship, working in the realms of Human Resources. Our HR internship will give you valuable experience and exposure of the HR function in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

The purpose of the internship is to work on a HR specific project as part of a small HR team, reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources. You could gain experience in one of the following key areas:

- Policies and procedures
- Talent and recruitment
- Learning and development

We are looking for a student who fits the following criteria:

- Keen to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Enjoys research and compliance to ensure best practice.
- Think creatively and cost effectively when tackling real HR projects.
- Excellent Office/ICT skills in relevant software including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders, conveying information simply and clearly.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Ability to network and build relationships across all levels of the business as well as key external partnerships.
- Working knowledge of employment law desirable.
- Has detailed and meticulous approach to their work.
- Able to produce, analyse and interpret data.
- Must be studying a HR related degree, ideally in penultimate year of study, with at least an expected grade of 2:2

The internship is expected to last for approx. 18 weeks during the summer period of your studies.

Salary up to £23,168 (pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications.

Please note, this position will entail a two-stage interview process; the first being an informal meeting and factory tour, and the second will entail a further formal interview with the Head of Human Resources and HR related activity to evaluate your knowledge, behaviours, and skills.
