We are recruiting a Production Planner to join a manufacturing business based in the South Bolton area.

The primary function of the Production Planner is to ensure that work is allocated to the production department in the most efficient and effective way and to identify any issues that may lead to stock shortages or delays.

The production planner will also be responsible for taking equipment orders and providing the customer with a delivery date, they will then ensure that stock is made available and that orders are despatched quickly and efficiently.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this role offers the chance to join a fast-growing business in a varied role.

**Duties**
- Plan production department workload for production of sub-assemblies and finished goods.
- Allocate workloads at the weekly production meeting and communicate changes in priorities throughout the week.
- Ensure work is always prioritised correctly to meet customer and business needs.
- Manage resource allocation to productionise R&D developments with the Technical Manager
- Manage works orders and ensure team leaders/supervisors are correctly processing paperwork.
- Maintain and update MRP sales forecast within Sage in conjunction with the Procurement team.
- Assist Finance team with sales forecasting & sales updates.
- Liaise with Technical Manager/Purchasing Coordinator where raw materials are required from suppliers and parts from suppliers are required.
- Manage the despatch and invoice of sales orders with the support of the administration team.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years + experience in a similar Production Planning role
- Experience within a manufacturing environment

**On Offer**
- £32,000
- Performance Bonus Scheme (Up to 5% of salary)
- Monday to Friday - 8am till 4:30pm (early finish on a Friday)
- 7.5% Pension Contribution
