Our client are a global storage and distribution company looking for stability within the organisation by appointing a strong dedicated leader for their UK & Ireland entities, who can further develop the organisation and the business in line with their ambitiousgrowth plans. They require an MD with a strong personality who is experienced in general management of different site locations within a corporate business. Across the UK & Ireland, they currently have six sites and your key responsibilities will include:

- Full P&L responsibility
- Manage region and site P&L to meet budget objectives and goals.
- Managing and coaching team members within the six different sites across the UK & Ireland.
- Investing in long term solid partnerships, focusing on understanding and influencing current and future customer needs.
- Identify business development opportunities and target & convert potential clients to becoming loyal and profitable clients.
- Working closely together with the General Managers from the six sites.
- Focus on accurate, timely forecasting and reporting to the headquarters in the EU.
- Support system implementation and integration (eg. AOS system, SalesForce).

**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**

Background in logistics industry, preferably in food industry.
- Experience in both operations and business development.
- Experience as a (general) manager of bigger teams / multiple sites.
- Experience within a fast-paced matrix environment, leading a country P&L of a multinational/global organization, achieving results through effective influencing and collaborating.
- Strong commercial drive with the ability to engage with current clients and potential prospects.
- Stakeholder management.
- Strong financial background.
- Knowledge of working within a global, corporate organization.
- Knowledge and experience of operational processes, systems and KPI’s.
- Translation of (long-term) strategy into concrete objectives and goals.
- Knowledge of operating, capital budgeting and price development.
