Fabric, maintenance, technician role is to action all fabric maintenance requests within the site. These include; general carpentry, 2nd fix, making-good, reactive repairs and minor plumbing.

**Description**
- Deal responsibly with emergencies
- Deliver and comply with all Statutory, College specific environmental, health, safety and quality standards
- To have an understanding of, and ability to, maintain the safe operation of fire doors.
- To be first point of contact for emergency repairs including being part of an on call out of hours rota and evening shift
- Liaise with, monitor and control the activities of all outside contractors working on the college estate.
- To be proficient in the installation and maintenance of door locking systems.
- Have knowledge of working with buildings with listed status
- To act as a mentor to junior/apprentice staff
- To advise on fabrics improvements

**Profile**
- Estates carpentry knowledge in a repair and maintenance background
- Ability to survey works, list and order materials required for tasks
- City & Guilds (NVQ) Craft Certificate level 3, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent
