Are you an experienced HR Business Partner looking to work for one of the UK's leading FMCG businesses?
**This is a 12-13 month Maternity cover position based at our Bradford Manufacturing site and providing support to both Bradford and Glasgow sites.**
Reporting to the Head of HR for UK Manufacturing, this role will have responsibility for all HR related matters for the Bradford & Glasgow sites. The HRBP must have the experience and insight required to understand the current context of the business in relation to the sites; and the ability to translate this into sound and fit for purpose HR plans for the Bradford and Glasgow sites.
Based at the Bradford and Glasgow sites this role will be a business partner to the site senior leadership teams and will focus on connecting HR services to business needs. The role will also look at the people aspect of the site growth strategies ensuring that the people structures, skills and motivation are such that the sites will succeed in their aims.
Whilst supporting the overall site strategies this role is critical to the successful day to day operations within the Bradford and Glasgow sites, therefore there is a real need to have a hands on approach to ensure the basics are in place and that will require a detailed understanding of all the outputs of the function whilst ensuring they appreciate and deliver a quality service to the sites and a professional approach in everything that they do.
**Key Relationships**
- Responsible to the Head of HR (UK Manufacturing) and through this role to the Group HR Director
- 4 Direct reports (HRO Bradford, HR Administrators, Bradford & Glasgow, Receptionist, Bradford)
- Key relationships are with the Site General Manager, Site Leadership Teams, Payroll and Shared Services functions, Group Learning & Development, Operational HR team.
- Circa 450 Employees across the Bradford and Glasgow sites
- Primary accountability for the HR overhead budgets at the Bradford and Glasgow sites

**Working Hours**
Monday to Friday 08.45 - 17.00
**Principle Accountabilities**
- Shape and deliver the HR plan for the Bradford & Glasgow sites to ensure site and manufacturing performance levels are achieved (MWBP’s/TIP’s/QCDSP principles). This will be delivered by working closely with the site senior leadership teams whilst being mindful of the Group business requirements.
- Support the Head of HR in translating the functional strategy into plans and actions to achieve department/site objectives.
- Through appropriate training, mentoring and coaching ensure there is a sustainable pipeline of operational management talent across the sites capable of driving on-going manufacturing improvements. Fully utilise and embed the Company’s succession planning and performance management tools to ensure we continue to grow and develop our in-house talent and use as a platform to attract talent to the sites going forward, as required.
- Provide the HR lead in terms of strategic and tactical expertise to the sites’ senior leadership teams.
- Provide HR support as required to business improvement and growth projects across the Bradford and Glasgow sites.
- Support the site senior leadership teams in challenging the status quo, driving a culture of best practice and continuous improvement that focuses on elimination of waste in all forms by initiating and facilitating the development of a team working culture in pursuit of a highly participative and highly motivated team, in order to reinforce the continuous improvement culture at the Bradford and Glasgow sites.
- Support the annual wage negotiation process with the site General Manager and site leadership teams as required.
- Continue to develop a partnership approach with the recognised union to support the delivery of change across the sites.
- Ensure effective use of communication mechanisms throughout the sites.
- Through effective implementation of policies and procedures ensure the consistency of HR controls across the sites is maintained and best practice is achieved.
- In conjunction with the Head of HR, from an HR perspective support the site HR teams in delivering strategic change programmes and Group HR projects which impact the sites, as required.
- Promote Company values within the departments/sites through the appropriate operation of systems, policies and working practices.
- Using appropriate mechanisms coordinate all aspects of the employee life-cycle to ensure new and developing talent is managed within the sites.
