We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technology Finance manager as part of the CIO Technology Finance team in managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for CIO IP&I. In this role, you will act as a key partner to the CIO Workforce planning team & CIO stakeholders, driving financial performance, budgeting, and investments related to technology initiatives across our platforms within CIO.
This role is a great opportunity to be at the heart of supporting IP&I’s transformation, where you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a brand-new team with a changing purpose and role. You’ll have a chance to shape new ways of working; have engagement with stakeholders across GCOO & IP&I and truly transform the way we approach our workload and priorities.
As the CIO Technology Finance Lead, you will:
- Financial Planning & Analysis - Supporting financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for CIO IP&I, ensuring alignment with partners and reporting.
- Cost Management - Analyse and support management of CIO BAU budget and indirect costs to support and drive cost efficiencies.
- Insightful decision making - ensuring there is appropriate, accurate and timely management information to support CIO decision making.
- Finance initiatives - Lead the financial management of CIO initiatives, tracking of actuals vs. budget, and identifying risks to delivery.
- Financial Risk Management - Identify financial risks and opportunities associated with CIO IP&I book of work, ensuring appropriate controls and governance processes are in place.

What you’ll need:
- Strong financial management experience.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Strong stakeholder management
- Ideally a Financial Services background
- Thought leadership, data analysis and reporting skills
- An ability to understand and interpret large quantities of data / information translating it into relevant insight which enables informative decision making
- Ability to operationalise and embed operational processes and reporting
