**Port Operatives | Purfleet | Full Time| £13.45ph - £15.97ph**

CLdN Ports is part of the CLdN Group, a solid and growing company. CLdN Ports London Ltd are at the top of European RoRo stevedoring services. We are specialised in handling of containers, trailers and new vehicles. We have also developed a unique expertisein different port activities, such as storage and distribution, maintenance and repair, or conversion of new vehicles.

We are looking to expand on our current groups of Operatives to meet the increasing demands within our busy24/7 ro-ro terminal.

**Role Requirements**

We are looking for team members who can demonstrate:

- An aptitude to driving.
- Able to work a rotational shift pattern including days, nights, and weekends.
- Pro-active approach to H&S.
- Team playerable to work on their own initiative.
- Experienceof port or warehouse operations ideally driving plant/machinery - although desirable this is not essential as training will be given.

**Role Responsibilities**

The Port Operative role includes:

- Ensuring a safe and efficient operation is achievedfor handling our customer’s cargo on & off our ships and around the port environment.
- using port equipment (eg terminal tractors/ cranes / fork lift trucks) of which full training will be provided.
- Using our internal Freight Management system for locating cargo around the port.
- To assist in the mooring and unmooring of our ships.
- To follow health and safety procedures as laid out by the port.
