_We are looking to recruit an **SIA security officer** to work at our port in **Purfleet**. _
The shifts will be working 3 Days/3 Nights/ 3 Off**, 06:45-18:45 (Days) 18:45-06:45 (Nights).**.
**Overtime is available** for any applicant wanting additional hours on the same site on rates between **£10.00 and £10.25**
- The role will involve the below._
- _Ensure the fast and professional processing of all visitors to the terminal in accordance with site procedures._
- _Provide effect entry and egress control through effective pass checking/issuing, including the searching of persons and vehicles & plant machinery._
- _Conduct effective searches on container lorries in compliance with DfT and site procedures._
- _Ensure effective checks on all personal and vehicle passes are carried out at all locations including the safe operating of gates and barriers._
- _Provide escorts to visitors/contractors._
- _Ensure that all supplied equipment is checked and maintained in a serviceable condition_
- _Carryout effective patrols to maintain the integrity of the restricted area._
- _Assist in the covering of gaps/holidays within the core teams and during increases in security levels._
- Qualifications_
- _SIA Security license, Front line Security Guarding, Door Supervision_
- _Proven work experience as a Security officer or equivalent position_
- _Must have a full UK driving license_
- _Experience of delivering excellent Customer Service_
- _Excellent communication skills both written and verbal_
- _Some computer experience, ability to write clear daily written reports_
- _Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols_
- _Experience of working as part of a team or independently_
- _Have an understanding of the Health and Safety at Work act_
