Transport Operations Controller

WORK FROM HOME OPPORTUNITY
Average hours: 10-20+ hours per week.
**Duties include**:
- Driver and vehicle shift planning
- Driver recruitment
- Answer calls and manage drivers
- Liaise with Director, Transport Manager and Admin Assistant
- Deal with emergencies, some out of hours
- Holiday cover of Directors responsibilities
Must be local to Purfleet to be available to respond to emergencies where necessary.
**About the Recruiter and role**
The recruiter is a small local operator with 10 HGV vehicles. The role is for a part time/full time Controller to assist the operations of running trucks. You will play a major role within the company.
All operations are remote, however will require visits to yard in Purfleet to manage vehicles and drivers. The work environment is relaxed and friendly.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in Transport / HGV’s
- Flexibility, some tasks may be out of hours
- Must have driving licence and own car
- Willingness to carry out emergency tasks round the clock which could include assisting recovery of vehicles or managing driver unexpected queries
Recruiter will consider PAYE or Sole Trader.
Salary is negotiable, however will exceed National Minimum Wage.
