**Role Overview**

The main aim of the role is to manage the bar service to a consistently high standard, ensuring that the bar staff provide an excellent service which exceeds customer expectations.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Product knowledge and Operations**
- **Prepare and Serve Beverages**: Efficiently prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring proper techniques and presentation standards are followed.
- **Maintain Stock and Supplies**: Monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and inform management of shortages to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
- **Advise on Drink Selection**: Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers about drink options, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, to enhance their experience.
- **Ensure Bar Cleanliness and Compliance**: Maintain a clean and organised bar area, adhering to health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times.

**Guest Interaction and Upselling**
- **Customer-Focused Hospitality**: Greet every guest warmly, making them feel welcome and valued throughout their experience.
- **Upselling**: Proactively suggest premium menu items, specials, or additional products, utilising upselling techniques and helping to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- **Problem-Solving**: Address guest queries confidently and escalate concerns to supervisors when necessary.
- **Room Charges**: Ensure that all room charge transactions are accurately documented and signed for by guests.

**Teamwork and Operational Support**
- **Teamwork During Shifts**: Work collaboratively with your teammates, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- **Shift Preparation**: Ensure your section is fully stocked, set up, and ready for service before the shift begins.
- **Shift Handover**: Prepare clear handovers for the next shift, ensuring a seamless transition and operational continuity.
- **Support Structure**: Understand the team hierarchy, asking supervisors for operational support as needed and escalating to managers for broader issues.

**Cleaning and Hygiene Standards**
- **Daily Cleaning Tasks**: Consistently follow cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- **Spot Checks**: Regularly inspect and maintain the cleanliness of service areas, dining spaces, and restrooms.
- **End-of-Shift Deep Cleans**: Complete all post-service cleaning tasks to leave the workspace ready for the next shift.

**Payment Accountability and Business Impact**
