We are currently seeking a Team Leader for our Assembly department to join our skilled team based in Lymington, Hampshire. In this role the Team Leader will meet production goals of quality and cost objectives as well as manage Assembly Department capacityto ensure customer needs and production plan are met. Will assist in coordinating resource allocations with other Process Owners to achieve companywide delivery goals. Select, develop, and manage the performance of resources within the Department, taking correctiveaction as necessary.

You may be required to work shift patterns Monday to Friday to suit business requirements. Shift Patterns for this role are as follows: - Days - 6.45am to 15.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.00am to 1.00pm Friday.

**Team Leader - Fettling & Assembly Duties, includes**:

- Motivates the team to achieve department and business goals
- Ensure production times are challenged and improved where possible (continuous improvement)
- Monitor and correct any safety breaches
- Select, develop, and manage the performance of resources within the department, taking corrective action as necessary
- Set priority of workload in associated area across the team
- Report and record non-conformances according to the company system. Work with associated LPE departments to identify root cause and corrective actions required to prevent discrepancies
- Ensure Standard Work/Set-up sheets are created/maintained, and the appropriate training delivered
- Verify that all machine records and logs are complete and accurate
- Ownership of 5S/Visual workplace principles which have been implemented
- Run daily team meeting (stand up)
- Complete all assigned training and development of team.

**Assembly Fitter / Fetter duties**:

- Detailed finishing
- Assembly in accordance with detailed engineering specifications
- Sheet metal work
- Straightening
- Pressure Testing
- Brazing
- Hand polishing
- Fettling
- Blasting
- Part Marking / Cleaning of components
- Able to work to tight tolerances to LPE’s visual acceptance standards
- Flexibility across this section to aid production

**Team Leader - Fettling & Assembly Requirements**:

- A Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a skilled metal worker and finisher.
- Ability to understand capacity management and production scheduling.
- Understanding of MRP systems.
- Previous experience or managing people (Desirable)
- Experienced in Assembly to fine limits and tolerances.
- Experience of working in a metal manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of how to handle and protect large yet delicate engineering assemblies.
- Knowledge and experience of working with special metals like stainless and aluminium.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings requirements.
