Robert Half are proud to be working with a PE backed SME in Halesowen to recruit a newly appointed Financial Controller to join their expanding Leadership team.

**The Role**
- The production of financial statements including monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
- Management of the Fixed Asset Register including Additions, Disposals and Depreciation.
- Weekly Cash Flow reporting and subsequent management of cash balances.
- Perform and oversee key Balance Sheet reconciliations including but not limited to Stock, Debtors, Creditors, VAT, NI & PAYE, Pension, Apprenticeship Levy, Tax, Petty Cash, Credit Card and Banks.
- Perform, oversee, reconcile and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Fully prepare the Year End Accounts and manage and co-ordinate the Year End Audit and Tax Returns.
- File Annual Company Returns and perform other necessary Company Secretarial duties.
- Completion of Annual P11D's.
- Reconcile and prepare the monthly PAYE payment to HMRC.
- Monthly reconciliation and submission of Pension payments, including completion of other Company Pension Scheme requirements.
- Manage the Company's Credit Insurance, including renewals, claims and analysis of current requirements.
- Other ad-hoc projects, requests as required by the Finance Director.

**Your personal characteristics will include**:

- Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years' experience
- Proven technical ability
- Excellent spreadsheet/analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ideally will have used SAGE or XERO

**Pay and Benefits**

£50,000 - £60,000
- 35 hours a week (Mon - Fri)
- Hybrid/flexible working if preferred
