Greenwellgleeson are pleased to be working with a large corporate business based in Halesowen. This business has seen growth year on year and are continuing to push for further growth. This Finance Controller position will report into the Finance Director and will be responsible for a medium sized team.

- You will be responsible for ensuring efficient financial, controlling and accounting functions in line with Group requirements and able to support Group strategy within the Country.
- Managing and delivering timely and accurate financial information to support Company decision making process, correctly evaluate business performances and ensure growth and profitability targets of the organization.
- Support FD throughout annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting process for the Company and provide finance input to local management in developing the budget in line with Corporate guidelines and making support for key company initiatives.
- Review and deliver timely accurate and business focused reports on the financial performance of the Company, in order to provide strategic advice to local and HQ Management in the achievement of long-term financial targets and performances.
- Critically review and explain management accounts, investigate variances with budget and previous year and identify areas for improvement.
- Accountant, Tax and Statutory - Based on Corporate accounting principles and Corporate financial procedures, and in compliance with Country accounting rules, support FD in supervising financial records to ensure accuracy and integrity of all data and P&L / Balance Sheet accounts.
Continually assess existing control systems and business processes in the Company to disclose weaknesses and mitigate risks to the Group, gaining a full understanding of influencers / business drivers throughout the organization.
Skills and Competencies Required
- Solid background in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, tax and internal controls,
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a similar position of an industrial company, better in a multinational environment.
- Degree/ Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business and Administration.
- Preferably to be a member of a professional accounting body
- Leadership skills.
- Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Good knowledge in UK tax rules would be much appreciated.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in Excel and other ERP systems.
