Our client is currently in the market for a Governance Officer to come and join their busy team
**Main responsibilities**
- Acting as first point of contact for staff enquiries, drafting policy and procedures, developing policies and procedures adhering to latest legislation and advice
- Maintain the Risk Register, Policy Register and the Complaints Handling log.
- Ensure a proven track record of committee management at a senior level, implementing the association's rules and ensuring it meets its obligations
- Report writing and minute-taking
- Ability to liaise with a wide range of people regarding complicated issues with accuracy and authority.
- Prepared to undertake routine everyday support tasks to a high standard, collating documents as well as analysing and explaining them.
- Responsible for managing risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support a range of governance activities, providing project management and co-ordination for ad hoc projects
- Draft and edit website copy as required, ensuring relevant web pages comply with company policies.
**Requirements**:
- Experience/competence of complaints management would also be an advantage.
- Ability to develop policies and procedures and ensure that they adhered to legislation and advice.
- Experience of auditing systems and procedures in a systematic and efficient way
