Senior Project Co-ordinator

Are you an organised, a confident communicator? Do you care about helping towns and cities plant more trees? We are looking for someone to support the Urban Forest Accelerator (UFA) project which is all about developing practical solutions to help plant and care for trees in cities.
The UFA is led by a partnership between the National Trust (NT), Woodland Trust (WT) and Community Forest Trust (CFT) and funded by Defra. It aims to inspire, drive, and deliver a levelling-up of access to urban trees and woods to reinforce community wellbeing and regeneration and deliver NetZero and climate resilience.
Through your excellent coordination, communication, and administrative skills you will be instrumental in helping the Project Manager to deliver a successful set of project outputs.
What it's like to work here:You will be part of NT’s Urban Green team but your role will work within the UFA partnership. The Urban Green team includes people with a variety of skills and experience who work nationally, with partners, to develop innovative solutions to bring nature into the heart of the urban environment.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve working with partners and is likely to involve some travel to locations across the UK, especially Birmingham which is the pilot city for the UFA.
What you'll be doing:You will work alongside the Project Manager providing excellent organisational support to keep track of progress and ensure project outputs are being met.
This will involve a range of tasks, such as supporting meetings, organising workshops, procurement tasks, budget administration, reporting progress against the funders requirements, organising events and supporting internal and external communication, supporting the set up and organisation of governance boards.
- A brilliant organiser, confident in setting up and using a range of administrative tools for budgeting and project reporting
- Able to use your initiative to deal with challenges and work at pace to ensure we keep on track
- Confident when verbally communicating with a range of people, including senior stakeholders
- Good written communication skills with ability to write reports, project updates, notes from meetings, and invitations for events.
- Experience of organising events, including handling venues and making bookings, sending invitations, running logístical support
