Health, Safety and Environmental Officer

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety officer to join the UK’s largest grower and packer of fresh produce, supplying both Export and UK retail Markets. Our client deploys the best principles and take a collaborative approach, working with UK and export customers to ensure that they have the right product for their needs at the highest quality for their customers.

**Main Responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environmental Officer**:

- Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are created, adhered to and updated.
- Work collaboratively in supporting all departments to ensure they are operating safely and legally with regards to HSE.
- Co-ordinate near miss reporting and ensure all accidents are documented and reported.
- Perform regular site, farm and accommodation HSE inspections.
- Ensure the completion and review of relevant risk assessments.
- Co-ordinate and participate in internal and external HSE audits.
- Deliver HSE training (including inductions) and chair HSE meetings.

**About the successful Health, Safety and Environmental Officer**:

- Demonstrable record in H&S over the past 3 years.
- NEBOSH General Certificate Diploma or equivalent; be trained and competent in COSHH and IOSH Managing Safely.
- Strong communication and influential skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and varying priorities.
- Ability to bring investigations and/or projects to a successful conclusion
- Proactive, self-driven and dynamic
- Ideally, will have experience of agriculture/seasonal business.

£Salary depending on experience, Monday to Friday
