Trainee Accounts and Payroll Assistant

**Salary**: £19,000 - £21,000 + study support

**Location**: Droitwich

**Overview of the role**:
**The competencies required by the jobholder should include the ability to**:

- To provide payroll, accounting and administrative services which benefit the organisation and lead to a high level of both internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Develop competencies and expertise to gain a satisfactory standard and deliver results within agreed timescales.
- Ability to work with and accept workplace change to improve departmental efficiency and function.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Weekly payroll function for two companies, including HMRC and pension reporting.
- Using the accounts system to perform weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Assisting the Management Accountant with the sales and purchase ledger
- Holiday and sickness cover.
- Provision of accounting support to Finance Manager and Management Accountant as appropriate.
- Provision of cover for colleagues in times of sickness or holiday.
- Ad-hoc duties as requested.
