**R&D Mass Spectrometry Associate**

The purpose of this role is to provide analysis on LC-MS and GC-MS equipment in a fast-paced laboratory and provide MS support on NPD projects for up to 14 R&D teams. Reporting into the LC-MS Senior Associate, you will collaborate with project teams to provide LC-MS development and quantitative analysis for Nitrosamine assessment and unknown characterisation across the entire health portfolio.

**You’ll succeed because**
- You’re experienced in LC/GC/MS and can use to support the development of analytical methodologies for Nitrosamine and unknown identification, qualification, and quantification. You can provide advice and guidance in conjunction with the Senior Associate, and can source information to resolve analytical issues, and facilitate workflow.
- You understand Good Manufacturing Practice, and Health & Safety/Environmental requirements, ensuring all work carried out is compliant with these standards. You support with the maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, whilst adhering to set procedures and SOP’s.
- You work well in a fast-paced environment, this role provides LC/GC/MS up to 14 R&D project teams at any time so you must be responsive to changing priorities in an evolving environment.
- You actively engage in continuing professional development and training initiatives.
- You are degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline. You have demonstrable experience of HLPLC/GC, LC-MS & GC-MS in a GMP laboratory, and an understanding of QBD and method development.
