As a graduate accountant you will participate and actively contribute to the successful working of the tax team, while studying towards a relevant tax qualification. They will assist with the preparation of corporate tax computations, accounting provisionsand related activities for allocated companies.

**Client Details**

This client is a group of mainly UK companies investing in and managing PFI contracts. The group has approximately 170 companies and is based in Bristol.

**Description**

As a graduate accountant you will:

- Participate and actively contribute to the successful working of the tax team;
- Ensure relevant compliance reports are up to date
- Assist with the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns in accordance with group standards and timetable for allocated companies;
- Assist with the preparation of accounting provisions including deferred tax and tax notes in allocated companies;
- Assist with submitting claims and elections for allocated companies by set deadlines;
- Ensure that all tax information is stored and maintained for allocated companies in accordance with the group policy;
- Assist with the review and approval of quarterly tax payments.
- Assist in the preparation of the group relief matrix;
- Assist in the development of tax procedures, controls and reconciliations;
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of tax training to colleagues.
- Assist in the preparation of the group's consolidated tax provision;
- Assist with audit queries specifically relating to tax.

**Profile**

We are looking for the graduate accountant accountant to have:

- A strong interest in tax and the willingness to develop tax knowledge
- Be in the process or have the intention to study towards a tax qualification
- A good standard of Microsoft Excel/Word
- Ability to work to deadlines;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to work accurately, efficiently and have attention to detail.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of tax computations;
- Knowledge of SAP and Alphatax software.
