**What’s the role about?**

We are looking for Senior Compliance Officers to join our Risk and Compliance team to support credit and insurance propositions at John Lewis Financial Services.

You will be accountable for ensuring John Lewis Financial Services (JLFS) is compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements for all financial services (FS) Products. You will be compliance SME supporting your product lines and monitoring of the FS regulatory compliance policies, procedures and effective controls in place across head office, at providers and retail. The role will act to provide compliance advice and guidance or when appropriate challenge internal stakeholders.

We have two roles, 1 - 12 months FTC (Home Insurance) and 1 - full - time (Credit).

**What will you be doing?**

You will:

- Empower and support Partners to understand compliance responsibility, being the SME in house on regulation & applicable licences
- Build relationships externally across third party providers, counterpart compliance individuals, taking appropriate actions to ensure legal / regulatory compliance and to minimise any financial or reputational risk to John Lewis Partnership (JLP)
- Manage and monitor governance through reporting, forum and where applicable challenge non - compliance internally and externally
- Develop a clear understanding of all FCA principles, Money services Business obligations under HMRC Money-Laundering, Consumer Credit obligations, appointed representative obligations, Data Protection and all related legal and regulatory obligations for all JLFS related business.
- Work with JLFS Stakeholders in legal,regulatory and contract performance with JLFS’s providers and internal JLP operations that touch FS
- Work closely with Provider Compliance functions, Legal Services, JL Retail, JL Marketing, GCI, JLFS Leadership Team and JLFS team.

**What you'll have**:

- Understanding of UK Financial Services regulatory framework and knowledge of FCA sourcebooks
- Experience in Regulatory compliance, monitoring and audit
- Development and management of Frameworks, Policies & Procedures
- Significant and demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, Reporting and analytics. Risk Management and organisation skills.

- CISI Compliance Diploma
- ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance / Anti money Laundering and customer due diligence /Financial prevention of Crime.
