We are now looking to recruit an exceptional Hotel Receptionist/Reservations Agent conducting 35hrs per week.

As a Receptionist/Reservations Agent, you will be under the general guidance of the Front of House Manager & Lead Reservationist. You will assist with all duties connected to front of house department, and ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience.

Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa is a busy, independent hotel just on the outskirts of Cardiff, South Wales.

We have 19 bedrooms, a busy restaurant & bar, fantastic function Suites & tRiBe Spa.

Key Responsibilities: - Hotel Receptionist
- Welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
- Checking guests in and out, issuing keys.
- Preparing any outstanding room accounts and dealing with payments.
- Serving drinks and food or room service as and when required.
- Actively upselling hotel products and services.
- Dealing with all general guest requests and queries.
Key Responsibilities: - Reservations Agent
- Handling all telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Creating bedroom reservations, amendments and cancellations in Guestline Rezlynx PMS reservations system.
- Complete daily arrival check
- Ensure confirmation is received for all reservations
- Conduct all telephone calls in friendly, efficient manner, adhering to the hotel standards.
- Maximise revenue through up-selling and cross-selling all hotels products & services.
Specification:

- Administration and customer service skills.
- IT skills to work with computerised booking and payment systems such as Resdiary, Guestline PMS & Try.Be.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- A friendly and professional telephone manner.
- A team player.
- Hungry for personal development.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and look after several tasks at once.
- Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar post and will have worked with Guestline Rezlynx PMS, but not essential as full training will be provided.
