Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Education Legal Services Support Officer to work in Chelmsford. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £14.43 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options available).

**The role**:
The Education Legal Services Support Officer will administer and oversee the preparation for appeals before the Special Educational Needs & Disability Tribunal.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsible for maintaining appropriate data systems, providing reports and statistical data on the Tribunal system.

Responsible for administering and overseeing the support system for the preparation and representation of the Council at appeals before the Special Educational Needs & Disability Tribunal (SEND).

Responsible for providing high quality support and co-ordination in relation to Local Government Ombudsman cases, Judicial Reviews and other ad hoc legal challenges.

Acts as the first point of contact and co-ordinator for receipt of SEN appeals from the Special Educational Needs & Disability Tribunal (SEND) and subsequently as principal liaison officer with the Tribunal administrative office and parents' advocates.

Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.

- **Qualifications**:N/A.
- **Experience**:Experience of the MS Office suite of programmes and database systems. Experience of collecting, processing and analysing data, translating this into reports.
- **Compliance**:Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check and references covering the last 5 years.
- **Travel**:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**:37.5 hours p/w.
