We are an independent Engineering Inspection business. We have over 600 highly skilled Engineer Surveyors and Engineering Consultants who inspect, test and report on industrial infrastructure and machinery from coffee machines to tower cranes in order to keep the UK industry, businesses and public safe.

**What will I be doing?**

As our Head of Training, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of internal training within the centre while coordinating follow up training and certification in the field. You will manage the operations at the Training Centre in Warrington including line management of the relevant staff to deliver an efficient and effective training programme. You will maximise the use of the centre assets through developing and delivering an external commercial offering to optimise the utilisation of the Centre during weekdays and weekends.

You will work with other parts of the Group and commercial colleagues to develop a product range to complement those we already offer. Building the Training Centre to be a show piece Centre of Excellence for all visitors, both internal and external. Reporting to the Operations Director you will coordinate with leaders across the business to identify and deliver training requirements within our areas of expertise to internal staff and external customers across the Group.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- To ensure the Health and Safety of all colleagues using the training centre and its assets to safeguard any visitors
- Overall management of the training centre building and its employees
- Sourcing and maintenance of equipment suitable for delivery of training
- Planning, co-ordination and oversight of new starter training including any in-field elements
- Identification and forward planning of cross skill training needs as identified by the of monthly sales results
- Seeking and supporting commercial usage of the premises to generate profit using centre assets and internal and external trainers, as required for staff and customers
- Seek opportunities to further improve training quality and training efficiency
- Control of the P&L budget for the training centre including repair and maintenance requirements
- Forecasting in-field training requirements and management of training resource used in line with Planning assumptions
- Maintaining control of company assets in the building
- To manage and achieve the budget set for you in terms of revenue, cost management and profit realisation

**What experience do I need?**

You will have:

- Experience of leading a training department, delivering and developing training
- Health and Safety IOSH or NEBOSH qualified is desirable
- Experience in demonstrating full compliance with all legal requirements and relevant Company policies
- Work within limits of Delegated Authority framework
- Working in a technical environment would be beneficial to the role
- Experience of developing training courses
- Knowledge of implementing new processes and systems
