**Purpose of the role**

The Senior Reprographics Operator is responsible for running the Early shift and the Evening shift at the DPC, including workflow control, repro production and client communication. To deliver an extensive range of reprographics services to a combined internal (Williams Lea) and external client base. Between the hours of 7.30am and 9.00am and 5.30pm and 11.00pm you will be a lone worker.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To meet and wherever possible to exceed targets set on an individual and team basis
- To undertake any reasonable duties as requested by Production Manager
- Ensure all work requests are recorded appropriately and completed in full
- To relate accurate information to customers and clients on the progression of their work
- Advise clients and customers on the best method of production
- Advise Production Manager and other shift operators of all pre-booked work
- Quality check all work produced for errors
- Ensure full handover is given or taken when starting or finishing a shift
- Support colleagues and work as a team in order to achieve the best results for clients and customers
- Comply with all departmental procedures
- To maintain a tidy and safe work area
- To ensure all copies are accounted for and are reconciled with meters of output when applicable
- To provide first line fixing for all production equipment
- Arrange engineer call outs and/or recording of all equipment faults
- Ordering of stock and consumables
- Arrange for onward distribution of work to customers and clients
- Scanning of documents on an ad hoc basis

**Key Authorities**
- Quality check their own work and quality check work produced by their colleagues
- Produce and release work to clients without completing the full QC process as and when requested in writing from the client (Due to tight deadlines or urgent requests for example)
- Resolve operational problems quickly and effectively
- Keep clients informed of progress or problems enabling them to take alternative action where appropriate
- Consider different approaches to situations
- Stop production in the event of an issue with a client print or scanning job
- Suggest alternative solutions to situations
- Assess the different tasks required to complete job, and tackles them in priority order
- Make sure deadlines are met
- Handle and log customer complaints
- Compile and send quotes
- Order consumables, stationery and stock via WL PO system
- Conduct Stock take / stock audits
- Raise purchase orders to supplier via WL preferred purchasing system

**Key Skills**
- Previous reprographics experience essential
- Print/Procurement experience desirable
- The ability to work well under pressure
- PC literate
- Able to handle difficult situations well and to act appropriately
- Able to work unsupervised on own initiative
- A willing and enthusiastic attitude
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal ability
- The ability to adapt and be flexible as required
- Customer service driven
- A proven team player
- A high standard of personal presentation
