Due to expansion in our gardens, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, and self-motivated gardener to join our team. At Montalto, the public have access to over 30 acres of gardens, including a fruit garden, a winter garden, a summerhouse garden, an alpine garden, a lake walk, woodland trails and much more.

We also have a 5-star wedding venue, The Carriage Rooms, and a historic Georgian mansion fronted by a beautiful lake. Both cater for weddings and events all year round.

The role will entail all aspects of estate maintenance, and require high horticultural standards. We are looking for a detail focused individual, who wants to be part of enhancing the image of the estate. The person will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, and adhere to our health and safety standards.

Essential:
Level 1 in Horticulture (or equivalent)

2 years horticultural experience

Clean driving licence

Strong plant knowledge

Desirable:
Trailer licence

PA1, PA6 and PA6W spraying certificates

Landscaping experience

Other relevant training e.g.: chainsaw use, tractor licence, vegetable growing etc.

Hours:
The standard working hours at Montalto Estate are, 08.00 to 16.00, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role some flexibility will be required including working weekends, evenings and bank holidays. This will be on a rotational basis, and as is required.

Package:
Rate of pay = £11.00 to £12.00 per hour
